The Oregon Beer Growler  is a free monthly Oregon craft beer magazine produced and published by a native Oregon family. It reflects the same creativity, honesty and sense of humor that is indigenous to Oregon brewers, drinkers, distributors and visitors interested in the craft beer industry.  The owners work from their offices in Independence, Oregon, the self-proclaimed Hops Capital of the World.
Beginning with the first publication in July 2012, the Oregon Beer Growler is available at about 400 locations in Oregon. Monthly distribution in July was 10,000. We expect to increase it each month thereafter.

They came, they settled, they made beer

Once upon a time, there was a thirsty pioneer in the wild, wet Western state of Oregon. Deep in his root cellar, he blended the ingredients that created beer, and lo, he was happy. Eventually, he bottled and sold his beer, and with only a few hiccups in history (we call it “prohibition”), he was successful. More than 150 years later, Mr. Pioneer’s family was still selling their family’s delicious beer.

But as you might guess, many other Oregon pioneers had discovered the art of making beer, and were also selling their brews to other settlers.

Now, Mr. Pioneer has a conundrum. How does he tell all of the other pioneers about HIS special beer?

And then, behold, there was the Oregon Beer Growler. At last, Mr. Pioneer has a forum to promote his beer, and other thirsty pioneers have a place to read about it.
