Sam Bonds Brewing will celebrate its grand opening July 26-27 at its new tasting room and brewery at 540 E. 8th St.
The brewing company opened last month, an extension of its popular Sam Bonds Garage in Eugene’s Whiteaker District. That feisty bar, restaurant and music venue will continue operations as before, with one exception: Now, its own beers are on tap.
The new tasting room and brewery is in the historic Foundry Building at 540 E. 8th Ave., Eugene.
Owners Bart Caridio, Todd Davis and Mark Jaeger opened Sam Bonds Garage in 1995 with the intention of opening a brewery. Those dreams were delayed by success of their unique Whiteaker project. Almost two decades later, intentions have returned to the brewery. Longtime brewer and Sam Bond Brewing’s Co-owner
Jim Montgomery has opened the “garage doors” for business.

“We are lovers of great craft beer, and are excited to be a part of the revolution that is happening in the craft beer industry,” Jaeger said.
The brewery houses a 10-barrel state-of-the art system with space for future expansion. All materials involved in the brewing process, including hops, malted barley, stainless steel tanks and kegs, are sourced along Oregon’s I-5 corridor.
