WHAT’S SO UNIQUE ABOUT OBG?
OBG is Oregon only
Our features, news and information focus on Oregon’s craft brew industry and its affiliated businesses and events. Our mission is to support this state’s industry by pointing readers to the ingredients, events, tastes, smells and personalities that make Oregon’s craft beers unique. The beer grown, malted, brewed, distributed and consumed here is different because Oregonians are different. Our publication will reflect that difference, helping readers identify the niche that can be filled only with an Oregon craft beer.

Fresh

Monthly publication
The OBG is the only Oregon beer news magazine that is published monthly, with fresh and up-to-date information that attracts more readers. Stories, calendars and advertisements in the OBG will keep readers up to date on products and events. This timely approach will give the industry a new flexibility for targeting its audience.
WHAT YOU’LL READ IN THE OBG
Stories, features, photos and calendars will be produced by professionals who not only understand Oregon’s craft beer, but also are expert at their own crafts. Executive editor Gail Oberst, with 30 years of professional media experience, will hand-pick and oversee contributors to the publication based on real talent and enthusiasm for craft beer. Guiding content is Will Oberst-Cairns, a long-time home-brewer, beer judge and a experienced beer server.

Intriguing

Oakshire tastes
Our stories, photos, columns and calendars aim at intriguing craft beer drinkers. But our stories will also interest many other people connected to Oregon’s craft beer: farmers who grow the ingredients that go into the beer; processors and distributors who prepare and package those raw materials; brewers who create the fine craft beers; breweries, pubs and restaurants where Oregon beers are featured; educators who are training the next generation of crafts people; small businesses that sell Oregon’s beers; home brew shops; groups and guilds that support the industry; events and organizations that feature or celebrate Oregon’s beer; and groups that promote beer-related tourism in Oregon.
The interest in Oregon’s beer is endless, and so are the stories about it. We eagerly await your ideas. Meanwhile, here are our planned monthly departments:
